The LABORIE label grew out of the Centre Culturel de Rencontre de la Borie venture. It follows the same objectives as the Centre - to create bridges and synergy between different repertoires in a spirit of cultural diversity and creation. It was created to support the artists who come to work at La Borie.
To continue recording repertoires for which a publisher is difficult to find yet which are useful for the constant progression of what is artistically on offer: historical repertoires, new creations and research programmes.

Why has the Centre Culturel de Rencontre de la Borie
created its own label?
• to enable artists to record repertoires which are close to their hearts, leaving them total latitude in their artistic development and even in their experimental work.
• to support artists as much as possible by offering them the opportunity of connecting different stages of their activities through creation residencies, concert tours, recording facilities, etc.
• to discover new talents and help in their career development.
• to publicise and broadcast the Centre Culturel de Rencontre de la Borie's work.
• to use the site and facilities at La Borie as a 'complete tool', with fully equipped practice rooms, recording studio, concert halls, residential house, etc. |
For which artists?
• Those in annual residence at La Borie, such as the Ensemble Baroque de Limoges.
• Those who come several times a year to meet, work, compose and experiment, like the Mosaïques quartet and Bertrand Renaudin.
• Talented young musicians to be discovered, like the pianist Yaron Herman.
• Special projects with certain artists on an ad hoc basis.
|
For which repertoires?
• Classical, jazz and world music repertoires
