Concerto, notturno per lire organizzate
Divertimenti per baryton
RELEASE February 2007

The concertos et notturnos for lira organizzata of Haydn have never been played since their creation in the instrumentairum they were composed for. Indeed, none of the few organ hurdy-gurdy (lira organizzata) which still exist were playable. The Ensemble Baroque de Limoges has re-created such beautiful and mixed instruments to return to the roots of these works among the most beautiful of the Master.

JS. BACH - « Reflexio »
Flute Sonatas
RELEASE February 2007

Another vision of the Flute Sonata by Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 1035, 1030, 1034, 1039/1027) : unusual combination of sounds closer to Bach's music : Sonata in E major (BWV 1035) accompagned with bassoon, viola da gamba which doubles the bass line of the obbligato harpsichord in the Sonata in B minor or even the use of a lautenwerk (and his gut strings) make this recording a new approach in the understanding of Bach music.

DE LALANDE - « Les Folies de Cardenio »
RELEASE APRIL 2006

Inspired by a passage from Cervantes' Don Quixote, this ballet music underscored Coypel's theatre piece and was used to entertain, educate and encourage the young Louis XV to dance.
The 41 short pieces from the “Folies de Cardénio” make up an ensemble very much in the spirit of this post-Louis XIV period (pastoral style, exoticism, and so on). They tell an adventure story in which love's madness, battles, and the calm after the storm are all intermingled.
Here, Christophe Coin conducts the Ensemble Baroque de Limoges with students from the Basle Music Academy and both the Paris and Lyons CNSMs (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique).
